The embroidery of Aguacatenango, Chiapas is traditionally a white-on-white elegance that has been coveted by women for decades.  Francisca Hernandez has been part of a renaissance of embroidery styles in the village, incorporating new stitches, vibrant colours and new designs, all while continuing to create the traditional white-on-white pieces.  If you are interested in procuring pieces from her, please contact us ahead of time so we can discuss a special order.  We need your measurements and style preferences, and can ask her for a price quote for a blouse or dress, depending on your needs.  If you live in Mexico, it is also quite easy for Francisca to take your measurements when we visit her, and she can ship it to you.  (Sadly, shipping outside of Mexico is quite costly or time consuming, so it is more ideal to put in your order ahead of time and pick it up when we are there.)
